Welcome to your five day backpacking course! The Wilderness Leadership Training consists of a full-day Pre-Trip Meeting and five days of backpacking, designed to give you the tools you need to lead youth on multi-day backpacking adventures. Skills covered include clothing requirements, nutrition, equipment use, map and compass reading, backcountry cooking, leadership styles, group dynamics and more. Role playing exercises are used to give participants a realistic backcountry leadership experience. Food is provided and no previous experience is necessary.
