Welcome to your OGO Frontcountry Leadership Training (FLT)! The FLT is an entry-level course that covers all the basic skills you will need to successfully take youth on car-camping based overnight trips. Skills covered include: Camping safety, day-hiking, tent and stove-set up, clothing requirements, nutrition, and team building activities. All learning is experiential. This course is targeted to the Oakland Goes Outdoors (OGO) community, though registration is open to all and the course will cover all of our core BAWT curriculum. The course itself is an two-day, one night overnight Saturday-Sunday camping trip in the Bay Area, plus a mandatory pre-trip meeting on the Wednesday evening before the trip. Participants associated with Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) and who are a part of the Oakland Goes Outdoors (OGO) program may use this ticket. Must have an active OUSD email.
